The Magnet Called GRACE

Dear Reader,

It has been a so-not-short-time since I last put up a post! Well, you know how life happens and then time moves so quickly. Lol. Oh well, today’s post may seem short and straight to the point, but sometimes its not the length of a message that matters. And so I hope you are blessed.

2 Corinthians 4:15b – “And as God’s grace brings more and more people to Christ, there will be great thanksgiving, and God will receive more and more glory.”

What struck me from this verse is that it is God’s grace that brings people to salvation. Not my beautifully crafted sermons or my evangelism strategies or even my testimony, as powerful as it may be. Yes, there are tools that can be used to tell the message of salvation, but they can be used and a person’s heart will still remain hardened. It is God’s GRACE; His unmerited favor, kindness and mercy that is the magnet that draws men to Himself. That is why no man should boast of bringing souls to God. This is why it is God that receives all the glory for the salvation of the lost soul.

God’s grace says ‘Come, salvation is full and free here. Come as you are. You do not stand condemned. Come and have access to what you do not deserve (eternal life). Come and obtain mercy.’ This is what brings more and more people to Jesus.

As the Bible says, “So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.” (Romans 9:16)
